Should i consider fnac report as final conclusion or are there any further tests i can go for. Looking forward for ur advice and suggestions.
Looking into what history you have provided all your complaitnts are consistent with diagnosis of Tubercular lymphadenitis . FNAC lymph node gives reliable diagnosis plus you have symptoms favouring that .ESR is also favouring the diagnosis of tuberculosis . You havent mentioned about the lymphocyte count in yor CBC .You can consult a physician and get further evaluated by tests like , Mantoux test , TB GOLD quntiferon ssay and if your doctor feels Biopsy of lymph node may be planned .
I think you should consult doctor at earliest and if he feels should start treatment with anti tubercular drugs at earliest.
Hello Thanks for visiting healthcaremagic The enlarged cervical lymphadenitis on left side only are discrete ,not matted during 3-4 years not suppurated is the against for extra pulmonary TB.There is no evidence for other organs affected/ The chronic cough more than one year should be ruled out if any tumours in throat and upper chest area.you have to undergo HIV Test also. Kindly consult a local ENT DOCTOR ALSO.
