Chronic Back Pain, Deep Indentation In Lower Back, Exercising Regularly. Cause Of Worry?

I am 60 years old and have had chronic back problems. I do exercise (approved by my doctor) at least 3 times a week. Recently my husband discovered that in the center of my lower back, there is a deep indention. The problem is that we never noticed it before. Is this a problem and should we be concerned? Please answer soon. And thank you in advance.
