Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
As from the description of lesion it looks like insect bite, you can apply calamine lotion at affected site. If it is insect bite it will resolve in few hrs.
But it still persists with increasing pain, you need to consult pediatrician for ruling out internal injury.[ because there is history of squeezing by brother]
In that case you may need ultrasound to know exact injury.
I hope this information helps you.
Best regards,
DR. Neelam.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Dr. Praveen Tayal's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description, an allergic rash or an insect bite is likely. You can give her an oral antiallergic and apply steroid based antiseptic cream over the area for temporary relief. In case the rash spreads then iot is best to consult a dermatologist.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal
