Child with hard lump in palm. Cause? Treatment?

Hi, please if you can help me. I am a mother writing from iraq, my daughter is 7 months old and she a a lump in the middle og her right palm hand. I noticed this lump 2 weeks ago and it is hard like a bone and is the size of a pea. It has not incresed or decrised in size. What do you think has caused this and how can i treat it.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi dear,
The lump could be a cyst or a small growth from the bone (exostoses). Whatever it might be, its not a tumor. You need not worry about it. You just show it to a pediatrician, and be double sure that its just a benign swelling. Careful observation is more than enough. It will subside on its own.

Take care
