Child With Fever, Headache And Pain In The Head. Nose Bleeding. What Can Be Done?
hi My son has been very unwell for the past week now the first 3-4 days he was complaining of headaches and had a temperature of 40 degrees that was not coming down i was giving medicine every 4 hours he was very unwell in himself... then now hes still complaining his head is hurting but hes very bunged up in the nose but his nose is bleeding quite alot he still seems very unwell... I am wondering is there anything else i could do as he doesnt seem to be getting much better?

Nose bleed could be because of several causes.
It could be because of local trauma because of nose picking or because of bleeding disorder. If it is associated with fever definitely we should evalute the kid.
I think your kids now needs medical attention
Any sick child who is not improving needs medical attention. Particularly so if he has any of the danger signs like lethargy, poor feeding vomiting seizures etc.

Since your child is having fever for last few days and he is not well also ,i advise you to get him evaluated by pediatrician for proper management.
He is having recurrent nose bleeds this also needs to be evaluated.
Cause could be infection/nose picking/local trauma.
I suggest you apply cold compresses over nose and pinch nose for about 4 to 5 minutes in case of bleeding.
Give plenty of fluids.
