Child With Fever, Continuous Headache, Regular Nasal Bleed. What Should Be Done?
Ten year old son has had a fever (manageable with Advil ) and constant headache for four days now. I was not that concerned because he does not seem lethargic at all (when on Advil, every 8 hours) but now he has had nosebleeds two days in row (frequent nose bleeder tho) and this fever just does not seem to want to go away. Help!!
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
As the fever lasted for more than 4 days, it is better to evaluate with basic investigations like CBP, malarial parasite, Widal test, CUE and coagulation profile as there is persistent nose bleeds.
Consult your Pediatrician for the examination of your child and for the management.
Hope I have answered your query.
