Child With Constipation. Is There Any Side Effects From Laxopeg, Smuth And Ezlax Drink?
My son is 2 years now. For the past one year he is having constipation problem. He was initially given Cremaffin then duphalac and he used to pass stool daily, but later it did'nt work. So I changed the doctor, this doctor asked me to do the following test: Bariam Enema, Thyroid test and a scan and the results were good. He said that he has habitual constipation and asked me to give him Laxopeg 2 times and Smuth 2 times a day and gave me a Ezlax drink. I am also giving my son banana and orange juice everyday.Now he is passing stool on a daily basis. I just want to know if these medicines have any side effects and can it be continued.

Side effects of these drugs can be diarrhea, abdominal cramps and nausea.
I would like you to toilet train your son with daily morning he as to sit in toilet and try passing stools and give him lot of fiber rich foods - fruits, leafy vegetables and lot of liquids
