Child taken rabies shot after cat bite. Should we take next five shots?

a cat bited my 15month old daughter very lightly, she was given rabies shots like she was bit on 30-10-2012 night 1st dosage on 31-10-2012 2nd dosage on 3-11-2012 3rd dosage on 7-11-2012 doctor said if the cat is alive for 10days after the bite only these 3 rabbies shots are enough and the cat was alive till 10th day after that its 20 days but we have not seen the cat. i called the doctor he said it was alive on 10th day then dont worry but today when we had been to a doctor he said 5 shots are necessary wat to do we are tensed? and the cat was not domesticated by us but use to visit our house once a wile to have some food

7 dose is needed if bite animal not confirmed with rabies. bite animal not imunized with anti rabies vaccine also cosider un imunised animal .if it confirm with rabies 7 dose is needed if not confirmed also same 7 dose as mention above like .dosage like 0 3 7 14 21 28 90 day dose . 0 means bite day like that follow remaing days .this dose called post exposure must be done because cat is absconded
