Child suffering from loose motions. Passing green color stool. Prescribed gramogyl, to be give with water or ORS?

my son is 22month old and he is suffering from loose motion from last 1week. He had taken something then he passes stool not very loose but it is loose and it is in yellow color and from last night it is in dark green color. i take a homoepathy medicine but i think it is not suits him. now my doctor given me gramogyl syrup i just ask you it is effective or not. It is given with water or with ORS . please tell me.

avoid homeopathy. understand dehydration at get stool culture done. may continue the meds as adviced, it may take 3 days to show response on this medicine; if it is a bacterial diarrhea or giardiasis. ORS and water are mainly to make up for lost water and electrolytes in stools.
lethargy, reduced urine can be an emergency sign of worsening.

Hi welcome to HCMForum. defenitely it works for gut infections.
but some times depending on the organism present and its sensitivity
if not controlled 2nd choice antibiotic may be tried. if not controlled
i advise you to consult a pediatritian for diagnosis and treatment.
besides i advise you some diet recomendations as give him more
curd with food. dont give him spices and chillies. If still breast
feeding mother also should follow same diet restrictions. wishing
for a quick recovery.
