Child Suffering From Fever, Headache, Cough And Low Appetite, Running Nebulizer. Is This A Virus?

My daughter is 6 and has no appetite , has had a low grade fever on and off for 5 days, complains of headache , also she doesnt want to do anything other than sit on couch. She does suffer from cough variant asthma . Is this a virus or something more serious? She also has vomited once with a couple days of high fever around 102. Running nebulizer every 4 hours as needed

Hello,
I think your child needs complete examination by pediatrician.
Fever with headache and vomiting can be sign of some serious
illness like meningitis and malaria.
She has decreased activity which is also of concern.
Sometimes Upper respiratory tract infection like pharyngitis and
sinusitis can also cause these symptoms associated with cough.
But to say anything with confidence in this case needs physical
examination.
Hoping everything will be fine.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
your child is having symptoms of respiratory tract infection, since she is having fever for 5 days and is listless too i will advise you to take her to pediatrician, moreover you are giving her nebulization every 4 hrs,she may need a course of antibiotic after evaluation. In the meantime give her paracetamol when fever goes more than 100,give her plenty of fluids as well.

Your child will be fine
God bless.
