Child Passing Motion With Blood, Seems To Have Diarrhea. No Uneasiness, Eating And Sleeping Normal. Cure?
Hi doctors, my 2mths old daughter is passing motion with blood observed for the past 2 days and today it still continues. She is seems to be having diarhea. However, she does not show any uneasiness throughout these days and still eat and sleep like normal. The stool is watery with quite an amount of blood. Appreciate some advice!
she need antibiotics and metronidazole for 4 to 5 days
keep him well hydrated through oral rehydrating solution.Home remedies including decarbonated soda beverages, fruit juices, , and tea are not suitable for use because they have inappropriately high osmolalities owing to excessive carbohydrate concentrations, which may exacerbate diarrhea; low sodium concentrations, which may cause hyponatremia; and inappropriate carbohydrate to sodium ratios.Once rehydration is complete, food should be reintroduced while the oral electrolyte solution is continued to replace ongoing losses from stools and for maintenance. Breast-feeding should be resumed as soon as possible.50 mL/kg of the oral rehydration solution (ORS) should be given within 4 hr to patients with mild dehydration and 100 mL/kg over 4 hr to those with moderate dehydration. Supplementary ORS is given to replace ongoing losses from diarrhea or emesis. An additional 10 mL/kg of ORS is given for each stool.
keep the baby open preferably avoid diapers and keep the diaper area open to air so that it dries fast and doesn't cause a diaper rash.
