Child Having Some Irritation In Thighs. Using Diapers. What Could Be Causing This?

My 2 1/2 year old son that is still in diapsrs. We've used the same brand since he was about 4 months old, ( Huggies snug and dry). Up until about a month ago, I noticed both inner thighs, nowhere around the diaper area or the lining of it. It's lower then that. It's painful to him and makes it to where he walks slow with legs apart. No bumps just real red and raw and blistery looking. What could be causing this?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
This is diaper rash.
I suggest you to avoid diapers for few days.
Wipe very gently and let it air dry.
Apply lactocalamine 2to 3 times a day.
In case it persist get him examined by pediatrician as he may then need local steroid application.
Hope this helps.
God bless...
