Child Having Itchy Red Bumps On Torso, No Fever, Had Cold Sore, Had Chicken Pox Vaccine

My child has red bumps that itch on one side of her torso and then the other side the next day. She has not had a fever. Her sister has had a cold sore for a month now. She has had both doses of the chicken pox vaccine.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

The problem your child is facing could be because of several causes.
One of them could be allergic dermatitis.

We treat allergic dermatitis with antihistaminics.
In a case of skin allergy we should monitor for respiratory distress as that is a emergency.

Identifying the allergen is difficult but if found should be avoided.
Hope this helps
Take care
