Child Having Frequent Cold And Cough. Taking Montair. Will There Be Any Side Effect If Used For A Long Term? Is It An Asthma Medication Too?

Hi doctor,my daughter is going to be 3.5 years old now. she used to catch cold , fever very frequently for last 1.5 years. Hence 3 months back our doctor advised her montair 4 for 6 months. she is taking the same and keeping well although. However my worry is...if this causes any side effects. Hi Sheetal,

You can give Montair to your daughter until she is fine. It has no major side effects on her. It is given in case of allergic conditions as well apart from Asthma.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
