HI I have gone through your mail as you said your two years old child had suddenly developed fever with difficulty in swallowing directs us to think about acute pharyngitis there may or maynot be associated acute tonsillitis, you have also noticed white coating of tongue thus physical examination of throat of your child is must therefore you should contact your E.N.T.Specialist for examination of your child, and you should also go for these basic investigations like- (1) throat swab for KLB (diptheria), (2) throat swab for culture & sensitivity,(3) blood - CBC, ESR, blood sugar. On the basis of physical findings and reports of investigations one can reach to correct diagnosis only than final treatment can be decided. I hope by thisway your problum will be solved. Thanks.
