Child Having Continuous Pain Around Belly Buttons, Vomiting, Fever With Tiredness. Cause And Cure?

Hi there. My 4 year old daughter began complaining of a stomach ache last Thursday. That night she started running a fever (102 under the arm ). There was some vomitting also. She still has a fever, ranging from 101-104. It doesnt go completely away even with medicine. She plays for a couple of minutes a day, but then says she is too tired. She still is complaining about stomach pains around her bellybutton and to the side of it.

Hi
Thank you for your query
These symptoms can be due to a variety of causes. And these need an array of blood tests to be done before the actual diagnosis can be ascertained. It can just be a viral fever along with some element of gastritis. Antacids added to analgesics should solve the problem. Such symptoms can also indicate a urinary tract infection. It can be confirmed by a urine test and requires antibiotics. It can be enteric fever or thyphoid, especially if the fever is persistent. But it has only been two days since the fever so it is a less likely cause. Her abdomen (tummy) also needs to be felt. If anything suspicious she may require an ultrasound too. You should consult a pediatrician or a pediatric surgeon for the same.
Hope that helps
God bless you

Hi
Thanks for your query,
Your child is having fever with pain abdomen which could be viral of bacterial in nature.
I suggest you to give some anti emetic like domperidone as per dosage and mefenemic acid for fever and pain relief.
Give her plenty of fluids and simple bland diet so as to maintain hydration and nutrition.
If symptoms persist get her examined by pediatrician as she may need some tests like CBC,Urine examination.

Wishing your child good health.
God bless.
