Hello Priya,
History noted.Children developing this sort of fever is common in this season. Your elder son since having fever for more than a week, even though the basic blood and stool investigations were normal, it is better to get evaluated with a blood culture test and investigations for dengue fever.Start him on antibiotics if blood culture shows any growth, otherwise continue the supportive medicines, he will be fine.If dengue positive subject him to the appropriate treatment as advised by your pediatrician. For your younger one give the analgesic cum anti-inflammatory drug which you are already using. If fever does not subside in a week, subject him also for appropriate investigations after consulting your pediatrician.Take care.
Good day.
