Child Have Thread Like Structure In Stool.Have Vomiting And Loose Motion. Taking Bacigyl-N And Econorn. Why Is It?

hello doc,my son who is 2yr old ws sufferin 4m vomitin n loose motions.after consultin wid doc i hv been givin him Bacigyl-N and Econorm for 2 days.2day wen he passed stool it had thread like stuctures in it.though it wasnt loose n his vomitin has also stooped.cud u plz tell me y did i see a lot of thead like structures in his stool.

The thread like structures are intestinal worms.

Usually in gastroenteritis because of disturbance in intestinal environment, worms expel from the rectum.

The thread like structure may be ascariasis or segments of a tape worm.

Continue the medication as advised for diarrhea.

Maintain his hydration by giving sips of oral rehydration solutions like Pedialyte.

Once the diarrhea got treated and controlled, go for Pediatrician consultation for the treatment of worm infestation by giving deworming medicine in prescribed dosage.
