Child Have Severe Headache And Numbness In Arm, Face And Throat. What Can Be The Problem?

My son, has a very bad head ache, can't see well out of left eye, then, his left arm was numb, then spread to side of face, and tongue, and even felt like throat. He is 15, very tall, and thin (healthy thin). He said it has happended before. Migranes run in our family but usually at age 30 or so. Not sure if its dehyration, migrane, or something serious.

This type of presentation is also seen in migraine.

As there is family history of migraine I am thinking this possibility.

But other organic causes of brain like any space occupying lesions should be ruled out by doing brain imaging like CT scan or MRI brain.

Physical examination by a Neurophysician is important before going for imaging.

I advise you to consult the Neurophysician as early as possible for the examination and for evaluation.
