Child Have Fever, Diarrhea And Stomach Pain. Had A Surgery For Broken Arm Earlier. What To Do?

My 6 yr old son has been sick with a fever and started throwing up on Saturday night and now has turned to diarrhea yesterday and he still has it. He complains of stomach pain about once an hour and has no appetite He has surgery for a broken arm on April 2nd and the cast and pins where removed 2 Fridays ago. What should I do. And he says when I press on his belly it hurts

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
His vomiting should be controlled initially by antiemetic prescribed by your doctor after proper examination.
Monitor him for signs of dehydration.
If dehydration is present then ORS or any fluid that contains salt and sugar should be given.
Further worsening of dehydration may require intravenous fluids.
