Child Have Bad Stomach, Cramps And Unable To Pass Stool. Given Miralex. Had Loose Stool With Mucus. Suggest?

Hi. About 2 months ago, my 6 year old daughter was experiencing some pretty bad stomach pains. We tried to have her use the washroom but she was having difficulty going. For the next hour or so, she was experiencing some severe cramps that seemed to come and go. After about 2 1\2 hours, her "tummy ache" seemed to go away. Nobody seemed to remember when her last bowel movement was. I ended up giving her a teaspoon of Miralax 2 days later when she still hadn't had a bowel movement. Within the next 24 hours, she had several. However, since this time, her bowel movements continue to be pretty soft. She also has clear to light brown mucus in her underwear. She will think she has to go to the bathroom, but many times, this is all that will come out. This is occurring every 2-3 days. However, she is having regular bowel movements, on average, every 2 days. I informed her pediatrician and she recommends trying to eat more bananas, 2 weekly, to firm her up. Anything else I can do?
Thank you.

Hi,
I feel you should get your grand daughters stools checked for infection/infestation.
I feel she might have caught Amoebiasis. It can be treated well with medicines/personal precautions.

* after stool check up report consult pediatrition for a specific priscription of drugs & complete the course given.( Usually metranidazoles,antibiotics, drugs for de worming ,digestive enzymes, Lactobacillus preparations are given according to stools report.
* give her boiled water for few days.
* Easily digestible food .
* No outer door eating, no spicy or junk food till she recovers completely.
Thanks.
