Well bilirubin of 6.6 at that age is definitely not comfortable. Your baby may have hepatitis
(inflammation of the liver) or may have a disease called extra hepatic biliary atresia
(EHBA). The later calls for a surgery and the sooner it is done, the better. A test called the HIDA scan can reveal more but it has to be done after 5 days of drugs (after priming). A distended gall bladder
rules out EHBA however contracted gall bladder can mean anything. You should consult a pediatric surgeon for the same.
