Child Has Wart On Knee. How Long To Heal After Being Cut Out?

HI, my son is having a big wart cut out on his knee and the doctor said it would be a straight line cut about 2 inches in length down the front bend of his knee. I know they will have to go deep because the wart has been burnt, frozen, and lasered before and is mainly scar tissue now. My question is: If he gets this cut out tomorrow, then how long will it take to heal up completely without busting back open? We are planning a trip out of the country soon and I want to be sure it won't burst open.

Thank you,
Rhonda

P.S.
I do not have any pictures, but I can tell you that the wart and arean around the wart needing to be cut out is about the width of a quarter and about 2 inches long.

Dear Rhonda,

I think you should either be postponing your country outing or the removal of the wart ... it will be prone to open up when he tries activities that need the recurrent bending of his knee, especially if it is on the joint line. Other than that, there should be no problem to remove it, regardless of its size.
