Child Has Red Rash On Face, Neck, Ears. Had Fever. Concerned
Hi, my 3 year old son has a slight red blotchy rash on his face, neck and behind his ears. It seems to come and go. He is still happy and playful, healthy appetite, ect. He had a fever yesterday for a short period of time, and felt kind of warm this morning. Other than that he seems fine, but it is still concerning me.

Your 3yrs old songs likely to be suffering from a viral rash and since it has started with face ,neck and post auricular area it is likely that it will spread downwards in afew hours or day.This rash could be measles like rash which is a viral rash.
Viral rash would subside in a weeks time but watch out for any cold cough leadinG to breathing difficulty because sometimes there lead to pneumonia.At present keep him well hydrated and get him examined by his doctor for confirmation of diagnosis.

The rash in child age group are mostly to viral infections, sometimes it can be allergic but the common cause is viral which often accompanied with symptoms like fever, nausea or reluctant to feeding. It is recommended to visit a pediatrician for better opinion as the children mostly needs dosages according to their body weight . The rash sometimes is followed by other symptoms lately as the rash is initial symptoms of the condition.
