Child Has Pin Worms. How Can We Stop Them From Reoccurring?
So my 8 year caught Pin worms in June it is now August and myself and my oldest daughter 13 has them again. we have taken 3 separate doses of Pin-X they go away and resurface every 3 weeks. Very embarassing because my boyfriend and I had sex the other night and I am afraid I infected him since I had just taken the medicine again. How can we stop them from reoccuring ? We have washed sheets toilets coaches. help

The pin worm are notorious for recurrence.
Recurrence can be due to incomplete treatmemt, treatment failure or reinfection.
All the family should take the treatment in the same pulse.
Tablet Albendazole 400mg at bed time for three days.
Do not take sugar containing foods from the previous day to next day.
Pair the nails, wash hand before anything you eat.
The problem will resolve surely with these precautions and treatment.

There are different drugs are available to treat pin worms like Albendazole, Mebendazole, Levamizole etc. Sometimes the pin worms may be developed resistance for one drug. In that case other drugs will help you. Repeated treatment for three weeks, and treating all the family members are mandatory for a total cure. Washing hands before and after toilletiing, before taking food with soap and water or a hand wash will help for total eradication. Ivermectine tablets which has a broad spectrum and systemic effect also can be tried with the help of your family physician.
