Child Has Noonan Syndrome, Enlarged Spleen, Low Platelet Count. Took Topamax, Trileptol. How To Treat It?
My daughter is 6 yrs old has noonan syndrome. Also on siezure meds. Topamax and trileptol both 2xs a day. Her spleen is very enlarged and her platelet count is very low. Not sure exactly on results. Any idea on what is causing this and how do they treat it? I have to take her to a hematologist thursday doc told me this means she can bleed internally??

This is genetic condition. you have to do echo to rule out congenital heart disease. This needs multi disciplinary approach like hematologist, cardiologist, neurologist and genetic counselling
