Child Has Loose Stools, May Be Milk Allergy, Black Stools After Giving NAN. Problem?

Hi, My baby old 10 months s having continious loose tools for the past 3 months. Doctor sugested its milk allergy .. Continued her advis and stopped milk products. Later another doctor said no milk allergy, only accult blood in ur stool report their is no reducing substance so start giving NAN I found no problem for two days... now iam getting black coloured stools .. I am very much scared. Whats the problem for my baby.. How can i rectify her....

Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
Do not panic
This maybe a case of lactose intolerance.
If the weight of the baby is increasing ,normally and she is feeding well there is no reason to worry.
If the occult blood remains positive then there is microscopic bleeds in the stool.
You need to change the milk to soy based milk and avoid fruit juices and wheat as well.
Give her some probiotic drink and lots of yogurt.Repeat the stool test after 10 days.Hope this answers your query.Wishing your child a speedy recovery.Have a nice day.
