Child Has Fever, Stomach Ache, And Vomiting Even After Taking Amoxicillin
Hi my son is five years old 5 days ago I took him to the doctor for fever 103.4 and not eating he said he had something that was going around ad and ear infection gave him amoxicillin....he is still running a fever between 100.2 and 102 with alternating motion and tylonal every 3 hours he won t eat I ve even tried junk food now he is complaing of a stomach ache and is vomiting but it s small amounts and mostly clear he plays but only for short periods of time and is very whiney and is just not himself.....is this normal

It appears that you 5 year child have an infection of slmonella group. and may be not sensitive to the amoxycillin .
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms cifixime, domperidone drops, and dicyclomine hydrochloride drops and paracetamol when ever there is pain.
Don't go for junk foods,try to give him liquid diet like milk, fruit juices, coconut water etc.
