Child Has Diarrhea And Vomiting. Stool Test Shows 0-2 HPF Seen. Meaning?
Good afternoon sir / Madam.
I am from Nepal.
What is the full form of hpf? My child of 15 months old has 4 episodes of diarrhoea, having bad smell. and 1 episode of vomiting today. No Fever and not other complain.
Stool R/M/E Results, No OVa, Cyst & Parasite, but 0-2hpf seen
I give him enzyme drops.
What should be done now?

Your child is having acute gastroenteritis which is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days.
Most important is to maintain hydration.
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool,give coconut water,lemonade,curd,rice porridge,boiled potato,banana
No need to give any enzyme.
Give lactobaccilus for 2 to 3 days.
Observe for features of dehydration like decreased urination/lethargy/increased thirst.
In case you observe any get him evaluated by pediatrician.
Stool test is normal.
