Child Has Cold, Pain In Belly Button, Pain In Eyes, Cold To Touch

My 4 yr old son has been sick with a cold on and off for a while. Recently he started complaining his belly button hurt, I thought maybe it was just coughing so much that caused it but he's been alot better not as much coughing ect. Ive noticed a few times his body is cold to touch all over and he conplains of his eyes hurting as well. Its really starting to worry me and the doctor just keeps saying its a cold/ viral infection.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi, it is not possible to have cold on and off, a cause of this situation may be streptococal pharingitis. When you perform the next visit at your doctor you may check this with a throat culture ( the child must be with an empty stomach-sober).This can explain :
-the belly button hurt because streptococus spreads through the lymph nodes from the throat all over the body
-Also the hurting of his eyes because of the local reaction it creates.
Don't worry about the cold body, just measure his body temperature.
And... let me know.
