Child Has Cold, Cough And Breathing Difficulties With Fever. Will Nebulisation Help?

my daughter is 3.5 yrs old and she is having cough, cold and breathing difficulty, i have noticed that when ever she is getting cough and cold she is having breathing difficulty as well, usually all these will be associated with fever but this time she don't have fever just cough and cold with breathing difficulty for past 2 days gave her ventorline and nebulisations(asthaline with 2ml distiled water). Worried why is she having breathing difficulty, need your opinion?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your daughter is experiencing. from the information you have provided, it is likely that she has asthma. For sure nebulisation would help. I will also advice that you get her consulted for the treatment to be updated. Triggers for asthma need to be identified and managed accordingly to prevent recurrence of attacks. If the breathing difficulty should get worse, then rushing to the ER fro an immediate assessment and management would be most helpful.

I hope you find this helpful. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to request for more information if need be. I wish you the best of health.
Thanks.
