Child Has Big Chunk Of Catare At The Back Throat. Right Nostril Blocked. History Of Tonsils. Cure For Symptoms?

My 5 year old son has a big chunk of catare at the back of his throat, hanging, more towards the right and his right nostril has been blocked for 6 months. He's had tonsils & adanoids out in 2012. Tried everything I can think of for him to get it out but nothing's working. The Docters aren't open till Tuesday so thought I'd ask here first.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Since the tonsils and adenoids have been removed this must be just a infection of the throat I.e pharyngitis. The phlegm generated cannot be manually removed .

You can give him a decongestants and warm saline or antiseptic gargles .
Also give a steam inhalation twice a day to relieve him of the nasal blockage.

Get an appointment fixed so that the doctor could examine him and get him investigated accordingly.

Bye
Take Care.
