Child Has A Red Itchy Skin, Fever, Coughing. Tried Advil. Didn T Help. Allergic To Cat, Peanut. Treatment?

My 3 year old daughter has red blotchy itchy skin a fever and shes been coughing and sneezing for a week now. We've tried Children's Advil, Children's Allergy Medicine. I've even given her prescribed cough syrup and cetirizine. Nothing is making it better, in fact she woke up with even more spots this morning. I thought maybe it could have been a change in environment because we're moving and we've had to stay at her father's house for the past couple of days and they have 2 dogs that roam the house and 1 cat that never leaves a room. We know for sure that my daughter has a cat and peanut allergy but she has not come into contact with them lately. The pollen weather may also have pushed her to this point but i don't know for sure. What can I do?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child needs physical examination by pediatrician.

For fever you can give Tylenol in prescribed dosage.

If there are known allergens, they should be avoided first.

Apply a calamine containing lotion over the skin rash.

Basic investigations like complete blood picture, urine examination may be done after consulting the doctor.

Consult your pediatrician for examination and further management.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
