Child Had Dental Filling Done. Is It Normal To Use Local Anesthetic Injection?

My 8 y/o daughter had a filling done yesterday, UR between A & B. Most all of the visit was just as I had anticipated and prepared her for with the exception of one thing. Is it typical to administer a local anesthetic by injection to the center of the palate for this type of filling? It was extremely painful for her and as a parent, difficult to watch. Thank you in advance for your input.

Hello dear
Actully administing local anaesthesia depends upon whether cavity is deep or shallow. If it is very deep then LA administration is essential. So its a part of dental treatment most often.Dont worry it wont harm your kid in any ways. But motivation of the kid regarding this is quiet essential.
