Child Complaining Of Stomach Pain, Fever With Vomitting And Loose Stools. Specific Medication?

My 2 year old daughter has been complaining of intermittent lower abdomen pain since10 days. 3 days ago she had a high grade fever with vomiting and loose stools. She continues to pass stools 1-2 times per day ( 6th day) foul smelling. She still complains of intermittent abdomen pain.The fever and vomiting had subsided in 2 days. how long do the loose stools usually last ? Does she need to be given any specific medications.

I can understand your concern.

Your child seems to have dysentery. A physical examination by your doctor is necessary to confirm the diagnosis. After confirming the diagnosis your doctor will prescribe antibiotcs, probiotics etc. Treatment with out physical examination will be dangerous. There are several causes of pain abdomen. Some times the causes are serious.
