Child. Swollen Eye And Bleeding Due To Fall. Advised Tylenol. No Vomiting, Concussion. Visit To Optholmologist Needed?
Hi My 16 months old son tripped and hit hard on edge of crib, the eye is swollen and lot of blood was seen. I took hum to ER they said nothing to worry. they checked his eyes and said no issues. only tylenol if he is crying other wise use ice pack. he is normal since then for last 10 hrs. no vomiting, no concussion. i see that the swelling is little black and red. he doesnt allow us to use ice pack. what should i do. Do i take him to optholmologist for furthur checkup

Doctors of E R examined your son.
They don't find any thing abnormal , so don't worry.
Due to injury there was haematoma ( collection of blood) ,that's why there is redness in eyes and swelling.
Due to pain child is not able to bear ice pack.
within 2-3 days child will be alright.
