Child. Headache After Hittting Back Of Head To Table. No Visible Bump. On Tylenol. Allergic To Motrin. Suggest

My 8 year old son hit the back of his head on the lunch tables today at school. There is no visible bump and I don t feel a bump. When I picked him up from school he is complaining of a headache. I gave him Tylenol about 10 minutes ago I can t give him motrin since he is allergic. Do you think I should have him looked at?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Relax,there ia nothing to worry.
I suggest you to apply cold compresses over affected area.
Continue with acetaminophen every 6to 8 hours.
Watch for any abnormal behavior/any vomiting/bleeding from ear or nose/lethargy.
In case you observe any feature get him examined at ER.
Wishing your child good health

God bless..
