Chigger bites on arm and legs with intense itching. Taken benedryl, used hydro-cortisone cream. When will it subside?

My arms don t itch so much, but my legs itch like crazy. How long should I expect this itching to go on? I noticed the itching and bumps on Saturday--it is now Wednesfday morning?
