hi! the result of my chest x-ray are: there are suspicious densities in the upper lung fields, the trachea is midline, the cardiac silhouette is not transversely enlarged, the castophrenic sulci and hemidiaphragms are intact and the rest of the visualized soft tissues and osseous structures are unremarkable. what could these results mean? thank you
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Suspicious densities in upper lung fields could be due to a chronic infection like tuberculosis, pneumonia, a benign lesion or a tumor. A detailed physical examination and investigations like MRI will help in specific diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
