Chest Pain In 18 Year Old

for the past..10 minutes, I ve been having a sharp-ish chest pain. It feels like its a little hard to breath, but my breathing pattern has not changed. It started being left sided,, pretty much right on my heart..now its a little more central, but still mostly left sided. Its not terrible pain..about a 2-3/10. But its bothersome. Several years ago, I had an ultrasound on my heart because they heard a murmur. I was told there was a small hole and there was nothing to worry about. I get these pains every now and then, but not all the time. Normally I m not doing anything strenuous, just like sitting at my computer or lying in bed or something. Is it possible to develop angina or have a heart attack at this young an age? Also, as an added note, I do have a family history of heart problems. Should I be going to see my doctor? OH, and I m on antibiotics (tonsillitis) right now, could this pain be the cause of the antibiotics?

I'd be calling my doctor if I were you. It is possible to have a heart attack, even at 18 (My first heart attack was before I even began elementary school, so it is possible.) You might want to consider taking aspirin or something, however, call your doctor first and see what he/she thinks before you take ANYTHING. I really don't think the antibiotics would give you chest pains, I've never ever had that experience with them and I've take a lot of antibiotics. It may just be the heart murmur, but you won't know until you see your doctor. Best of luck :)
