hullo doctor, mother was being treated for viral infec when what she had was bacterial infec resulting in heavy chest congestion repeating over 15 days,also she was unable to do much physical activity in this tenure and was throughout on the bed with very minimal activity, she is 65 and has undergone both bypass and mitral valve replacement surgery 2 years ago, her heartb rate is excessive - 130+ and her cbc report shows mild leukocytosis with neutrophilia what is her ailment and why is her heart rTE EXCESSIVE ALONG WITH CONTINUED LONG CHEST CONGESTION..
The rate is a response to the stress – from infection / or a complication from it like endocarditis, embolism, failure, change in Coronary status and so on ... Leukocytosis means continued stress / infection She needs continued observation, investigations for proper management...
