Chest X-ray Shows Fibrotic Scarring In The Left Liver Lobe Of The Lungs And No Active Parenchymal Infiltrates Seen. Infection?

My child caregiver has just had chest xray because my 2 year old son is suspected to have primary complex. The result of the caregiver xray is that she has fibrotic scarring in the left upper lobe of the lungs but no active parenchymal infiltrates seen. My son has normal chest xray but I am worried if the cargiver could infect my son of primary complex?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
There is no chance of infection being transferred form lady to your child.
She is having fibrotic scar in lungs and it signifies healed past infection.
There is no active lesion at present so chances of transmission in very less.
However, infectivity should not be only relied on X-rays.It has to be co-related with blood reports and clinical findings.
X-ray of your child is normal. So,you should not worry.
Take Care
