Changed Diet With Suspicion Of Gluten Tolerance, Have Constant Pressure On Bowels Since Them. Could It Be IBS?

Hi I m 18 and have recently found, well thought that I might be gluten intolerant and have been treating my diet as much, but over the past few days I have what feels like a constant pressure on my bowels, could it be that I am not gluten intolerant and may have IBS instead? I find that I also cannot eat too much sugar, or sugary drinks, no spicy food and nothing with caffeine. Please are you able to tell what this is?

Hi, It is very difficult to say that , without knowing your complete history. Gluten intolerence presents with anaemia, weight loss, diarrhea etc. I dont think so you should stop gluten without getting yourself evaluated. Your symptoms might be because of acid peptic disease or IBS. Meanwhile try taking anti acid tablets( ranitidine or omeprazole) & probiotics .
