Chances Of Survival In Dermatomyositis

Hello sir/Mam, my niece is suffring from Dermatomysitis for 3+years, her age is 13 yr. She has been given steroids for a long time and currently prescribed the prdnisolone and HCQ. Could you please comment on the chances of the cure and healthy survival of her. Thank you in advance. Regards Tapan

Read your prob, dermatomyositis is diease of moscles n skin, inthis inflammation of muscles n skin occur. this is systemic autoimmune diease. steroid n intraveous immunoglobins are treatment of choic. some time it associated with cancerous or precancereous stage so you should rule out it. no doubt its prognosis is poor but after giving steroid like prednisolon n immunoglobins patients may survive for long time.

HI MY NAME IS KAY-KAY AND I TOO HAD SUFFERED FRM THIS FATAL SICKNESS AND YES I SAID HAD BECUASE NOW IM FREE FROM ITS DIABOLIC SHACKELS I WAS 7 WEN I WAS ATTACKED WITH IT AND THEY SAID I HAD A LIMIT OF TIME TO LIVE BUT NOW IM 21 YEARS OLD AND STILL LIVING HUNNY JUST KEEP PRAYING FOR THE BABY AND KEEP UR HOPE THANK U FOR LISTINING
