Hi, I have gone through your question. You both had intercourse in the fertile period of the menstrual cycle, so the chances of conception are there. Sometimes, contraceptive protection fails to prevent pregnancy if used improperly .
Delay in periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances in the body.
I would suggest her to get a urine pregnancy test done and if positive, then do consult an OBGYN specialist for further management.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you both good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti Verma
