Cause For The Goose Egg Below The Belly Button?

Thank you. My 38 year old daughter was clipping shrubs yesterday and when she went into her home to shower, she noticed a goose egg below her belly button. It does not hurt and about 8 weeks ago she had a tummy tuck (skin removed) surgery. What do you think it may be? No pain, no fever.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for soreness in the bottom of the belly.

There can be a possibility of secondary infection in your case.

You should meet your treating doctor to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as gentamycin or fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.
