Cause And Cure For Bloodshot Eyes

My daughter is 43. I noticed her eye was blood shot on Wednesday. It seems to have gotten worse. She is a nurse and was working on Thursday. Her friends told her about. Today she said it seemed worse. She had trouble seeing at first till she used saline. She wears contacts. Problem is she is out of town on Vacation. What causes this. I believe she has removed her contacts. Thank you so much. A mom always worries about her children.

Contacts should be discontinued at once. Should be evaluated for any punctate keratopathy and keratitis by an ophthalmologist. These are common in people who are using contacts for long uninterrupted hours.
