Cataract Surgery. Prescribed Besivance, Bromday, Ofloxacin And Ketorolac. What Should The Dosage Be?

Thanks. I am about to have cataract surgery. My surgeon gave me a sheet telling me what doses of Besivance and Bromday to take, but when I received the meds from my pharmacy, the meds were Ofloxacin and Ketorolace with different dosage instructions. Are the meds interchangeable? Should I follow the instructions on the medication rather than on the handout from the surgeon?

Hello user,
The drugs your pharmacy had given is not same as what your surgeon had written, Besivance is besifloxacin and your pharmacist has given you ofloxacin; and Bromday is Bromfenac but your pharmacist has given Ketorolac.

These two drugs are not having same chemical structure and potency but are having same action and function on eyes.

I would rather advise you to stick to your surgeons drugs as they can only select antibiotics depending upon the condition of surgery !!!

Hope this information helped you. Let me know if you need any more clarifications.

Regards,
