Can You Suggest Any Remedy For Frequent Urine Infection ?
Dear Doctor My son is frequent urine infection from last one and half year because of urine refulx it was treated by defulx injuction in August 2010 it was reftified in and no refulx in recent MCUG test but he is still getting infection.and doctor saying no abstroction in uretars and urethrs .please suggest what will we do

Read your prob, your son has been suffering from UTI without any infection, this is nothing but recurrent urinary infection, for it you should give him antibiotic course for 1and half month. 21 days of injectable n after then oral antibotic. discuss it with your doc n start proper treatment .

If your son has been treated for reflux and the problem is rectified and even there is no obstruction then the internal defect is ruled out.But if he has recurrent infection then you can get his urine tested for culture & sensitivity to find the exact type of organism and the properly indicated antibiotic to treat the infection.And if the culture report is negative for any form of organism then the doctor or his treating urologist will have to look for other possibilities.Presently you can do is start giving him pineapple in form of fruit or fresh fruit juice and cranberry juice these juices are helpful in recurrent urinary infection.
