Can Using Lumigan Cause Permanent Damage To The Eye?

Hello,My wife has just started taking Lumigan and had permanent blurred vision after the second day. On day 5 she stopped taking it on instruction from the ophthalmologist. This was seven days ago and her vision is still blurred. Could the Lumigan have caused permant damage in this 5 day period of treatment? Thank you

Hello dear user!
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns!
Thank you for sharing them on healthcaremagic.
Lumigan is a drug that is used to treat open-angled glaucoma. It may give changes to the color of eyes, eyelids, or eyelashes but these changes are developed during years not immediately. Before starting this medication, you must be sure that you have open-angled glaucoma and not other medical eye conditions like infection or uveitis (inflammation of the vascular tissue of the eye). This drug may give eye redness and swelling which also may give vision changes or blurring vision, but it goes away. Please have an appointment with your ophtalmologist to check the eyes completely and use another drug if it's necessary.
